You would be hard pressed to find a better meal in Fort Myers, but you do need to make a reservation, show up on time, and be ready to walk out smiling. I wish we could report out on dessert as we watched several go past our table, but we had filled up on the delicious appetizer and main course that followed a basked of warm bread served with small dishes of an olive tapenade, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, and whipped butter. We split this dish and were delighted to see the dish split for us with ample portions for each of us.
Next we moved on to the a special of the night and special it was, Sea Bas served over risotto and broccolini. With mushrooms and shaved brussel sprouts this is not a dish you are getting anywhere else. Our waitress Diane, helped us decide on the ricotta gnocchi as our appetizer. Even with that, our service was flawless and our food was every bit as good as anything we've eaten in Italy.
But she LIED and told Craig she was talking loudly bc the restaurant was noisy.There are any number of fine restaurants in Fort Myers, but when the owner greets you at the door, when the person who seats you calls you by name and asks which of two tables you prefer on a busy night, when your waitress is knowledgeable and fun and the food is outstanding it is hard to find a reason not to love this place.
